Meloman

Our team decided to create an offline music app since music streaming applications were not yet popular in 2013
Meloman

About client

The application allowed you to download music from the VK social network and listen without having to connect to the internet. The application was completely free of charge but it included pop-up ads. With Meloman you could listen to songs from the personal collection, as well as popular suggestions from the chart, or search for the desired tracks by name. We tried to create a simple logic for a better user experience.

Sections

The first page offered different sources for listening to music from VK. By default, the playlist opens immediately and here we find three tabs: Audio Recordings, Wall, Albums. The user chooses the one he needs and enjoys. Here you could also find a button for other music sources that include the music of friends, groups, popular and the rest.

Downloads

The main purpose of the player was to be able to have offline access. It didn’t matter in which section you would listen to music. Next to each song, you could find a button that would add it to this list and download it.

The Player

We used a simple player for listening to the music. It included all the standard features that could be useful. We also added the equalizer feature for listeners who would like to adjust and configure the settings for their needs. The player could work in the background, including when the device is locked and display the name of the song and the album it belongs to on the screen.
